The great Tibetan Buddhist sites of Kathmandu - Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Kopan Monastery and Namo Buddha nearby.
💡 All sites reachable by taxi from Kathmandu. Namo Buddha requires a day trip or overnight stay at the monastery.

The great Tibetan monasteries of Karnataka - Bylakuppe and Mundgod - home to Sera, Ganden, Drepung, and dozens more.

💡 June-September only - roads are closed in winter. Acclimatise in Leh for 2 days before visiting high sites.
