About
His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, is the head of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Born in 1985 in Eastern Tibet, he escaped to India in 1999. He teaches on Mahamudra, bodhicitta, and the environment, and leads the annual Kagyu Monlam prayer festival in Bodh Gaya.
