His Holiness Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje is recognized as the 17th Karmapa by the Karma Kagyu lineage under the Shamarpa. He teaches on Mahamudra and the Kagyu transmission, and leads annual prayer festivals at Bodh Gaya.
